About this product

The Bosque, Spanish for "woods" the term used for our beloved cottonwood forest along the Rio Grande, one of the most vibrant ecosystems in central New Mexico. Vela del Bosque is inspired by these forested paths and the cool, woodsy aroma carried through the trees. With notes of pine, fir and juniper, this candle brings the quiet calm of the Bosque into your home and invites a restorative connection to the land.

How to use

Place the candle on a heat safe surface and light the wick to enjoy its forest inspired aroma. Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface before extinguishing to maintain a clean and consistent burn.

Expert tip: Limit burn time to four hours and keep the wick trimmed to one eighth of an inch to extend the life of your candle.

How it's made

Our candles are hand poured in small batches using natural soy wax for a clean, even burn. Each batch is infused with pure essential oils selected to echo the botanicals found throughout the Rio Grande Valley. This simple, non toxic formula highlights aroma without additives and reflects our commitment to clean ingredients and a true sense of place.

What started as small-scale salve, soap and lotion making to serve guests as room amenities at our historic Inn, has grown to include a robust line of products inspired by the Los Poblanos fields, guest rooms and kitchen. Our organic lavender essential oil is still distilled onsite at the farm and this historic agricultural land continues to be a source for ingredients and inspiration.
