These beautiful fair trade table runners are made in Mexico using a traditional backstrap weaving technique that has been passed down through generations. Each table runner is a unique, one-of a-kind piece of art that takes days to complete. Add a touch of color, texture and delight to any tabletop or display.

Backstrap weaving is done on a simple loom made from parallel sticks holding base threads that are cross-woven with horizontal threads. The weaver attaches one end of the loom to a post or tree, while the other end is attached to the weaver’s body through a strap that wraps around the back, giving the technique its name backstrap weaving.
