Turkey Red Hard Wheat Flour

Turkey Red Hard Wheat is an heirloom hard red winter wheat that has a robust flavor and excellent gluten structure and starch quality for bread making. First brought to Kansas from what is now Ukraine in 1874, this variety became the dominant wheat variety throughout the Great Plains, resulting in the region becoming known as “the breadbasket”. The Turkey Red Hard Wheat Berries are a nutritious whole grain that can be used in place of rice or barley in salads, breakfast bowls, soups, stews, and pilafs.
