Vintage hand crafted collectible sterling silver hairpin set. Created and signed by master silversmith Joe Herrera Quintana.

Joe Herrera Quintana was born at Cochiti Pueblo and is considered to be one of the master silversmiths of the 20th century. He worked as a silversmith at Irma Bailey's iconic shop Irma’s Indian Art & Pawn. The concha belt worn by singer Jim Morrison was crafted by Joe Quintana in 1967 and personally purchased by Morrison at Irma's shop. Quintana continued to create jewelry and live on Cochiti Pueblo until his death in 1991.
