Gustave Baumann Coloring Book
The original owners and developers of Los Poblanos, Albert and Ruth Simms, hired some of the best artists and architects in the 1930s to create many of the buildings and style you still see on property today. One of those greats was wood craftsman and printmaker, Gustave Baumann, whose hand-carved wood beams, doors and mantels are still intact, and greatly preserved, in the La Quinta building.
After taking a tour of our property, your little ones can enjoy coloring 22 of Baumann's famed prints in this coloring book. They are shown in small color images on the inside front and back covers. Copy the originals or create your own interpretations! Coloring pages are printed on thick paper stock, and are blank on the back so they can be cut out and displayed. The last page is left blank so your little artist can draw and color a picture of their own. Will it be a landscape, a still life, or something completely original?
